Program Description

Self Defense at Los Mo Dojo focuses on practical skills designed for real-world situations. Students learn how to manage distance, escape common holds, control larger opponents using leverage, and stay calm under pressure.  Our training draws from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and grappling fundamentals. Classes include situational awareness, technical breakdowns, partner drilling, and controlled resistance training so students can apply techniques safely and effectively.  


This program is beginner-friendly and open to teens and adults. No prior martial arts experience is required. Whether your goal is personal safety, confidence, or preparedness, you’ll build skills you can rely on.  As a veteran-run nonprofit serving Los Molinos and the greater Tehama County area, our mission is to provide accessible, structured training that strengthens individuals and families. Fill out the waiver, attend a class, and begin learning practical self defense skills.

Practical Escape Skills

Learn how to break grips, escape holds, defend takedowns, and create space using leverage-based techniques.
